Our mission is to strengthen the Irving School community directly and to help every child in reaching his or her full potential.  With collaboration between parents, teachers and support staff we will continue to see our children accomplish great things.

Events and activities are already planned to enhance the educational experience at Irving.  Currently many committees are in need of new faces and fresh ideas.  If you are interested in helping out or learning more about any of the committees, please return the volunteer form or contact any of the officers.

We do occasionally try to raise funds to provide things for the students that are not included in the School District budget.  Some of the things we plan for are purely social experiences so the kids could do something fun outside of the school setting.  Examples of activities sponsored by the PTA are:

Art Talks, Great Stories, Fluoride Program (cups), many educational assemblies, Roller Skating Parties, Halloween Parties, Holiday Parties, Help subsidize the 5^th Grade Chicago trip, supply catering for the 5^th Grade Farewell, Family Dance, Fun Fair, Founders Night entertainment, Breakfast for all students on Walk to School Day, Field Day healthy snack and much more.
