Books 

    Last name, First name initials.  Year Published. Title.  Location of Publisher: Publisher Name.

example:

    Millard, A.  1977.  From 10,000 BC to 1500 BC The First Civilizations.  London, England: Usborne Publishing Ltd.

Encyclopedia

    Last name, First name initials (article's author).  (Year Published).  Title of article.  Name of Encyclopedia  (Volume number, pages).  City published in:  Publishing Company.

example:

    Bergmann, P. G.  (1993).  Ancient Egyptian Culture.  In The new encyclopedia Britannica (Vol. 26, pp. 501-508).  Chicago: Encyclopedia Britannica.

Web sites

    Last name, First name initials.  (Date you visited the site).  Title of the site [On-line].  Available: Write the web address.

example:

    St. Petersburg Times. (November 27, 2004).  Splendors of Ancient Egypt [On-line].  Available: http://www2.sptimes.com/Egypt/Default.html

Pictures

    If a picture is scanned from a book or encyclopedia use the information above excluding author and publisher information.

    If a picture is copied from the Internet make sure you have the web address.  (www.google.com is not a web address)

    If you use clip art you need to state the source of the clip art (e.g., Microsoft Clip Art On-Line).

    This information needs to be located underneath the picture.

If you can not find the name of an author indicate last name and first name section as Unknown.
